A virtual paradise for scuba diving
Located at the south-easternmost extremity of Greece with a stunning coastline of approximately 220 km (137 mi) the island of Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese islands and the fourth largest island of Greece.
The island is situated a few miles NW of the Rhodes Abyssal Plain which is part of the Hellenic Arc – the arc shaped trench that commences from the Ionian Sea, runs to the south of Peloponnese, the south of Crete and terminates at the south east of Rhodes.
The big depths that surround the island of Rhodes, their biodiversity, the underwater and the surface currents combined with clear and nutrient rich water assist in the presence of the big sea animals that are usually encountered in Blutopia Marine Park thus rendering it an ideal diving spot for scuba diving and snorkeling in Rhodes.
